 Go Back  State Operations Elimination of the Office of the Secretary of Education (OSE) Recommend the Legislature approve the Governor's January proposal to eliminate OSE. This would provide General Fund savings of $400,000 in 2010-11 and $1.9 million in 2011-12. In addition to achieving savings, the administration's proposal would help streamline a fractured K-12 governance system that lacks clear lines of accountability. 2-08-11
