Taxing very high-income taxpayers and dedicating revenues to pandemic prevention. [Ballot]

Nov 5, 2021 - The measure would establish a 0.75 percent tax on individuals with incomes over $5 million for the ten-year period of 2023 through 2032. The revenues generated by the tax would be deposited into new special funds and dedicated entirely to a newly established institute and two other allowable purposes, all related to pandemic detection, prevention, and mitigation.

Voters can choose to vote by filling out and putting their VBM ballot in the mail, dropping the VBM ballot off at a ballot drop off location, or casting a ballot in person at a voting location.

Feb 17, 2016 - Chapter  466 of 2015 (AB 953, Weber) —also known as the Racial and Identity Profiling Act of 2015 —imposes a series of data reporting requirements on local law enforcement. First, Chapter  466 requires state and local law enforcement agencies to submit an annual report beginning in 2019 to the state Attorney General on all stops conducted in the previous calendar year.
