Budget Issue: | English Language Acquisition Program (ELAP). |
Program: | California Department of Education |
Finding or Recommendation: | Merge ELAP and its associated funding into the more broad-based Economic Impact Aid program. This would grant school districts greater flexibility to spend the funds on English learner and low-income students of any grade level. |
