Budget Issue: | Additional funding for inmate pharmaceuticals |
Program: | Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation |
Finding or Recommendation: | Reduce the proposed General Fund augmentation by $20 million to an augmentation of $39.9 million in 2012-13 and $31.2 million in 2013-14 to account for additional efficiencies we believe could be achieved from better inventory management and reduced use of non-formulary drugs. Approve this augmentation for two years only so that the need for ongoing funding in future years can be reevaluated. |
