Sep 7, 2021 - We discussed the importance of compensation studies at length in our June 25, 2021 analysis of the 20 labor agreements that were ratified by the Legislature earlier this summer. In the case of Bargaining Unit 8, Section 19827.3 of the Government Code requires that, when developing the compensation study for Bargaining Unit 8, CalHR take into consideration the compensation provided by jurisdictions employing 75 or more full-time firefighters who work in California.
