Oct 1, 2021 - This measure amends the Constitution to authorize in-person and online sports wagering beginning January 1, 2023. At minimum, California ’s cardrooms, horse racing tracks, and tribes with tribal-state compacts as well as professional sports teams from certain leagues (including the National Football League, National Basketball Association, and Major League Baseball) would be eligible to offer sports wagering to individuals 21 years of age or older.
