The 2026-27 Budget: In-Home Supportive Services

Mar 18, 2026 - Historically, counties paid 35  percent of the nonfederal share of IHSS service costs and 30  percent of the nonfederal share of IHSS administrative costs. In the early 2010s, this share of cost model was replaced with an IHSS MOE.

The 2026-27 Budget: Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) Program

Mar 3, 2026 - The Governor ’s budget estimates that the federal COLA for the SSI portion of the grant will be 3.1  percent in 2026-27, increasing maximum SSI grants by $30 for individuals and $46 for couples on January 1, 2027 (the actual federal SSI COLA will not be known until fall 2026).
