Feb 10, 2026 - Third, Figure  1 displays a sizeable year ‑to ‑year decline in federal funds for CNRA departments. The biggest component of this change is about $675  million less for the California Energy Commission (CEC) in 2026 ‑27, primarily due to a federal grant it received on a one ‑time basis in 2025 ‑26 from the Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnership Program.
