The 2026-27 Budget: California Highway Patrol Proposals

Mar 6, 2026 - We recommend the Legislature reject the proposed equipment and operating cost augmentations, as we do not find them to be well justified. We recommend the Legislature approve the capital outlay projects, but switch their funding source from the General Fund to the MVA.
