Sep 15, 2022 - Inflation-Adjusted Retail Sales Grew Modestly Over Past Year. Across all goods and services purchased by consumers, U.S. prices grew 0.1 percent from July to August. From August 2021 to August 2022, prices grew 8.3 percent, somewhat less than the 9.1 percent growth in nominal sales over that twelve-month period.

Jan 25, 2022 - The proposed amount reflects a decrease of $ 355  m illion, or   41  p ercent, compared to projected current ‑year expenditures. The  year ‑to ‑year change largely reflects some one ‑time funds the department received in 2021 ‑22  that are not sustained at the same levels in the 2022 ‑23  proposal, including the $300  million to address brownfields as well as funding related to the Exide  facility.

Feb 15, 2022 - Within IIJA, there is a new five ‑year federal surface transportation reauthorization that replaced the expired Fixing America ’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act. In total, IIJA authorizes $567  billion in spending for federal transportation programs over five years, which is an increase of $274  billion above previous FAST Act spending levels over five years.
