Oct 25, 2021 - This plan is anticipated to cost approximately $600  million in 2022 ‑23 and $2.7  billion at full implementation in 2025 ‑26. The Legislature and the Governor have reached an agreement to cover these costs by “rebenching ” (adjusting) the Proposition  98 formulas to increase the share of General Fund revenue allocated to schools.
