Feb 11, 2026 - ABCAB receives 20 to 35 appeals per year, in contrast to a projected 4 to 6 cases for CCAP. The 2026-27 proposed budget for ABCAB includes $1.4  million from Alcoholic Beverage Control Appeals Fund —which is about half the amount proposed for CCAP.

The 2025-26 Budget: State Departments’ Operational Efficiencies (Control Sections 4.05 and 4.12)

Feb 19, 2025 - The report had identified about $40  million General Fund in savings from CalFire (about 6  percent of the total identified General Fund savings). Because these savings were initially included in the Governor ’s January proposal, this and any other savings or eliminated positions in the report associated with departments now exempted from the exercises would further erode the savings that were originally assumed in 2024-25.

Mar 10, 2026 - The administration submitted its first February status report of the BCG contract on February 6, 2026. This report provided little information beyond what was already included in the contract. For example, the report did not specify what, if any, changes had been implemented to date or whether the state was on track to achieve the level of savings assumed in 2025-26 or the out-years resulting from the contract.

State Assistance to Businesses in Response to COVID-19

Jan 4, 2024 - As Figure 6 shows, per business in the area, larger metro regions tended to receive more in both types of assistance, most notably, Los Angeles, San  Francisco, and San Jose. Smaller metro areas —like Ukiah, Crescent City, and Truckee —received much less in both types of assistance.

The 2025-26 Budget: The California State Payroll System IT Project

Mar 7, 2025 - Provide each processing department with a set number of DART FTEs based on their classifications: (1)  0.5 FTEs for “micro, ” (2)  1 FTE for “small, ” (3)  3 FTEs for “medium, ” (4)  6 FTEs for “large, ” and (5)  10 FTEs for “mega. ” Propose annual funding allocations by processing department to the Department of Finance (DOF), as well as criteria for funding the allocations based on, for example, the department ’s participation in project activities.
