Dec 29, 2025 - Proposition  50 (2025). In November 2025, California voters approved Proposition  50, replacing the 2021 maps with new legislatively drawn congressional district maps (Proposition  50 maps). Under current law, the Proposition  50 maps will be used beginning with the 2026 congressional elections and until the Commission draws new maps following the 2030 U.S.

Proposition 50 [Ballot]

Nov 4, 2025 - Proposition  50 replaces California ’s current congressional district maps with new, legislatively drawn maps. (The total number of districts would not change.) Proposition  50 ’s maps must follow federal law, but they are not required to follow the state requirements placed on the Commission.

Personal income tax rates for high-income taxpayers. [Ballot]

Oct 20, 2025 - Voters approved Proposition  30 in 2012 to temporarily increase income tax rates on high-income taxpayers. In 2016, voters approved Proposition  55 to extend these higher rates until 2030. The top 2  percent of California taxpayers pay these higher rates.
