Chapter  616 of 2018 (S B  824 , Lara) prevents insurers from cancelling or refusing to renew a homeowner ’s insurance policy based solely on the fact that the insured structure is located in an area in which a wildfire has occurred for one year after the declaration of a wildfire state of emergency.
