The 2022-23 Budget: California State Library

Feb 18, 2022 - According to Feeding America, a nonprofit organization that annually analyzes federal census data, 17  percent of Californians under the age of 18  reported being food insecure in 2021. While  these data do not indicate what time of year children experience food insecurity, food insecurity might increase during the summer months when students are less likely to be attending school.
