Nov 10, 2016 - These private funding sources were needed because Los Angeles voters approved a 1978 measure prohibiting city capital expenditures for the Games that would not be paid back. To offset Games –related operating costs, the city approved a 6  percent Olympic ticket tax (generating $8.7  million) and a 0.5  percent hotel tax surcharge (generating $9  million), which went into effect in 1978.

Feb 27, 2026 - After these dispatch centers have been migrated, OES will focus on deploying Next Generation 911 services to the Los  Angeles area, to help prepare for the 2028  Olympic and Paralympic games. In addition to these priorities, up to 20 other dispatch centers (those in most urgent need) will also be moved onto the statewide network.

The 2026-2027 Budget: California Cannabis Control Appeals Panel Permanent Funding Request

Feb 11, 2026 - ABCAB receives 20 to 35 appeals per year, in contrast to a projected 4 to 6 cases for CCAP. The 2026-27 proposed budget for ABCAB includes $1.4  million from Alcoholic Beverage Control Appeals Fund —which is about half the amount proposed for CCAP.

This report provided little information beyond what was already included in the contract. The 2023-24 Budget: Broadband Infrastructure

Mar 20, 2023 - In July 2021, the administration and the Legislature agreed to spend $6  billion over three fiscal years (starting in 2021 ‑22) on broadband infrastructure. Out of the $6  billion in the 2021 agreement, $4.3  billion came from federal ARP fiscal relief funds and $1.7  billion came from the General Fund.
