Notes: Unless otherwise noted, "State Cost" reflects amount of state-supported university revenue bonds authorized for a project. In addition to state support, projects typically receive some nonstate support, often from campus reserves, sometimes from philanthropy.
a The 2025-26 Budget Act includes $5.2 million ongoing General Fund to cover associated debt service for these two projects ($2.6 million each).
b The 2025-26 Budget Act authorizes UC to draw down remaining funds from several former state general obligation bonds ($2.6 million) and several former state lease revenue bonds ($3.1 million). The budget also allows UC to use any remaining interest earnings from those bonds for this project. The 2020-21 budget authorized $14.1 million for preliminary plans, working drawings, and construction costs for this project, with an anticipated state cost across all years of $17 million. No nonstate funds are allocated for the project.
c Consists of $1.2 million in new General Fund support (project savings from the completed state-approved Fire and Life Safety Improvements Phase 1 project), along with $13 million in General Fund support redirected from the previously state-approved UC Irvine Student Wellness and Student Success Building project, which has been suspended.
d The 2022-23 Budget Act provided $90 million one-time General Fund cash for this project. The 2025-26 Budget Act authorizes an additional $151 million in state-supported university revenue bonds and provides $10.1 million ongoing General Fund to cover associated debt service.
e In addition to state support, the project is receiving $34 million in federal historic tax credits and $9 million from campus reserves.
P = preliminary plans, W = working drawings, C = construction, E = equipment. D = design. |
