Immigration


Makes No Notable Changes to Immigration Programs. The spending plan provides a total of $65 million to the Department of Social Services for immigration services in 2020‑21, the same as was provided in 2019‑20.

Prior to Spending Plan, Administration Provided Cash Aid for Undocumented Immigrants. Using budgetary authority passed in response to coronavirus disease 2019, the administration on April 15, 2020, provided $63.3 million for nonprofits to provide cash assistance to undocumented immigrants. Undocumented individuals were eligible for up to $500 in direct assistance with a household cap of $1,000 total.
