Labor Agreements to Achieve Budgetary Savings

Jul 11, 2025 - As we describe below and list in Figure  1, the Legislature has ratified agreements between the administration and 19 of the state ’s 21 bargaining units. The rank-and-file and excluded employees associated with these 19 bargaining units represent more than 95  percent of the state workforce.

Jul 14, 2025 - The Legislature has ratified agreements with 19 of the state ’s 21 bargaining units to suspend the state ’s contribution to prefund retiree health benefits in 2025-26 and 2026-27. In the ratified agreements with 18 of these bargaining units, the state and employees have also agreed to suspend the employee contributions to prefund the benefit.
