The 2016-17 Budget: Assessing the Governor’s Zero-Textbook-Cost Proposal

Mar 14, 2016 - Experts believe additional OER development is needed in a few areas, such as criminal justice, nursing, and social work. OER Usage Across Nation, OER Usage Low but OER Viewed Positively. In a 2014 survey of a representative national sample of higher education teaching faculty, nearly two –thirds of respondents said they had never heard of OER or knew little about OER.

The 2021-22 Budget: California Community Colleges

Feb 16, 2021 - During the first grant round, colleges created new OER content for courses in 18 disciplines. For the second round, new OER is in the process of being finalized for 18 additional disciplines. After faculty review of the newly created OER, the Academic Senate provides corresponding professional develo pment to faculty throughout the state on integrating the OER into their teaching.
