The 2025-26 California Spending Plan: Higher Education

Nov 14, 2025 - The budget includes $50  million in new one-time General Fund support for this program in 2025-26, along with carrying over $18  million in unspent program funds from 2024-25. The $50  million is in addition to the $500  million one-time General Fund appropriation provided in the 2021-22 Budget Act for this program.
