July 2017 Update: Los Angeles’ Bid for the Olympics and Paralympics

Jul 6, 2017 - Los Angeles sports venues typically are privately operated facilities. As such, facility operators presumably do not plan to subsidize Olympic events that occur there. The venue use agreements already in place with Olympic organizers, therefore, sometimes involve “a range of cost or revenue-recovery arrangements rather than fixed rents, ” according to the IOC report.
