Update on School District Budgets

Nov 16, 2020 - In his May Revision, the Governor withdrew most of his proposed augmentations and proposed to reduce LCFF by $6.5  billion —equivalent to a 7.7  percent year-over-year reduction in rates. Enacted Budget Avoids Reductions, Provides Schools Additional Fiscal Relief.

The 2022-23 Budget: Overview of the Governor's Budget

Jan 13, 2022 - On the spending side, the Governor ’s budget includes $6.5  billion in discretionary SAL ‑related exclusions. The largest of these are: $1.3  billion in funding for the School Facilities Aid Program, $1.2  billion for various transportation projects, and $545  million for clean energy and building decarbonization.

The 2019-20 May Revision: Analysis of the May Revision Education Proposals

May 15, 2019 - Of this amount, $6.5 million is designated for CSU and $3.5 million for UC. The proposal is part of a larger package of May Revision proposals related to homelessness. Rapid rehousing programs are widely used throughout the country, including in California.
