A Long-Term Outlook: Disability Among California’s Seniors

Nov 28, 2016 - Seniors turning 65 between 2015 and 2019 who have greater than a high school education spend fewer years on average with one or more ADL limitations than seniors with a high school degree or GED credential and seniors with less than a high school education (4.2 years vs. 4.8 years and 5.8  years, respectively).

Climate Change Impacts Across California - Crosscutting Issues

Apr 5, 2022 - These impacts will be compounded by periodic increases in sea levels caused by storm surges, exceptionally high “king tides, ” or El Ni ño events. As shown in Figure  4 , these changing conditions will impact the coast by leading to periodic and permanent flooding, eroding sand away from coastal cliff walls and beaches, and forcing groundwater levels to rise.

The 2021-22 Spending Plan: Health

Oct 22, 2021 - The spending plan provides $33.7 billion General Fund for health programs. This is an increase of $6.7 billion, or 25 percent, compared to the revised 2020‑21 spending level. This year-over-year increase primarily is due to significant growth in projected General Fund spending in Medi-Cal.
