Mar 13, 2026 - Chapter  4 of 2016 (S B  3 , Leno) has gradually increased California ’s statewide minimum wage from $8 per hour to $16 per hour. Under S B  3 , the statewide minimum wage will continue to increase by up to 3.5  percent each year, depending on inflation.

The 2026-27 Budget: Medi-Cal Analysis

Mar 2, 2026 - The reduction to the state ’s health plan tax revenue is not necessarily required by H.R. 1 in the short term. Rather, the lower revenues are due to the interaction of H.R.  1 ’s new proportionality rules with Proposition  35 ’s limit on taxing commercial enrollment.
