Mar 18, 2026 - We recommend refining the SBE ’s duties to focus on broad policy issues where public input and diverse perspectives are especially important. As a body with regular meetings, multiple members, and several subcommittees, the SBE is better positioned to gather public input than a single individual like the commissioner.
