Feb 18, 2022 - The administration projects that the state will collect roughly $150 million in total CalWORKs recoupment in current CalWORKs cases in 2022‑23. The state could choose to fully pass through current support payments to current CalWORKs families instead of retaining a portion of these payments for government CalWORKs recoupment purposes.

Oct 27, 2021 - Of the $1.072  billion, $550  million is from the state ’s ARP CCPF allocation and $522  million is from the state ’s allocation from the ARP ’s fiscal relief funds. These funds are to be deposited into a new Federal Funding Account within CPUC ’s CASF program to provide last-mile broadband infrastructure project grants.

Nov 22, 2021 - To qualify for CalWORKs, families must generally earn less than about 80  percent of the federal poverty level (the exact amount is specified in state law and varies based on family size). Under prior state law, the first $90 monthly per earner did not count towards a family ’s income when applying for the program.

Nov 22, 2021 - The ARP Act allows states to draw down enhanced federal funding for HCBS funded through the Medicaid program, provided that states spend the additional federal funding on HCBS program enhancements. Under this provision of the ARP Act, California is eligible to draw down an estimated additional $3  billion in federal Medicaid funds.

The TBL also includes language expressing the state ’s intent to opt into FFPSA Part I, which will allow the state to begin claiming Title IV-E dollars for eligible prevention services once in compliance with Part IV.
