The 2023-24 Budget: Proposed Reauthorization of AB 8 Vehicle Fees

Feb 24, 2023 - The Governor proposes to extend authorization for the sunsetting A B  8 fees from January 1, 2024 through 2035. Because these fees are constitutionally a tax, the extension would need to be approved by a two ‑thirds vote of the Legislature.
