Mar 29, 2023 - In addition to passing a criminal background check and meeting certain other requirements, individuals  must: Hold a bachelor ’s degree from a regionally accredited college. Demonstrate basic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics, which can be done by passing the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
