Sep 7, 2023 - As Figure  4 shows, the nine bargaining units represented by Local 1000 have had different experiences with inflation since 1999. Specifically, the base pay for three Local 1000 units —Units 3, 17, and 20 —grew at levels above inflation; Unit 14 kept pace with inflation; and five Local 1000 units —Units 1, 4, 11, 15, and 21 —grew at levels below inflation.
