MOU Fiscal Analysis: Bargaining Unit 13 (Stationary Engineers)

Jun 24, 2022 - Eligible Unit 13 members who work for CDCR receive an allowance of $400 to pay for uniform requirements. The administration indicates that (1)  CDCR uniforms are required to be worn at all times and cost between $800 and $900 per year and (2)  the current $400 allowance was established in 2002.

Sep 1, 2023 - The agreement would provide to employees in specified Psychologist, Audiologist, and Dietitian classifications who work at Porterville Developmental Center a monthly payment of either $400 per month (in the case of Dietitians), $800 per month (in the case of unlicensed Psychologists), or $1,000 per month (in the case of Audiologists and Psychologists).

MOU Fiscal Analysis: Bargaining Unit 5 (Highway Patrol)

Aug 23, 2024 - The administration estimates indicate that the provision would increase annual state costs by $448,000 and benefit about 400 employees. Reimbursement for External Vest Carrier. During the term of the agreement, the proposed agreement would allow Unit 5 members to be reimbursed once up to $200 for the cost of purchasing an external vest carrier.

Unit 8 (Firefighters) MOU Analysis

Aug 26, 2022 - The Legislature approved more than $400  million in new ongoing funding levels to augment CalFire ’s fire response. Included among these proposals is $169  million General Fund in 2022-23 ($164.3  million General Fund ongoing) to pay for 827 positions to staff and support 17 new Firefighter I crews and fund associated equipment and special repairs.
