Given the importance of non ‑compensation factors in determining vacancy rates, it is unclear what level of pay increase would be needed to meaningfully improve recruitment and retention for mental health positions.

The 2022-23 Budget: Governor’s Public Safety Package

Feb 17, 2022 - These three task forces are currently supported with $5.6  million General Fund annually, which is scheduled to expire in 2026 ‑27. The Governor ’s budget proposes $6  million annually through 2024 ‑25 (increasing to $10.5  million in 2025 ‑26 and $15  million in 2026 ‑27 and ongoing) for CHP to make the three existing ORCTFs permanent and establish two new permanent ORCTFs in the Fresno and Sacramento areas.
