Aug 17, 2023 - Study Did Not Estimate Need for Beds for Children and Adolescents. The RAND researchers did not include children and adolescents in the scope of their analysis. The researchers indicated that children and adolescents have “subtle but important differences ” in care needs and thus the sufficiency of facilities for this population should be assessed separately from adults.
