Feb 11, 2021 - Most of these actions were funded with one ‑time federal funds provided through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. In addition to the $ 350  m illion in CARES Act funding specifically for child care, the state also used $ 110  m illion from the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) to support child care programs.

However, if in January 2024 the administration estimates there are sufficient resources available to fund these expenditures, those programs would be restored halfway through the fiscal year.
