Feb 18, 2022 - A volunteer committee of specialists from the State Library, the University of California, Stanford University, and the California State Archives oversees and curates development of the archive. According to the State Library, it spends $72,000  annually on its contract with the Internet Archive.

The 2024-25 California Spending Plan: Higher Education

Sep 11, 2024 - Of this amount, $152  million is carried over from appropriations originally made in 2022-23 for local library infrastructure projects; $2.4  million is for disaster preparedness (representing the final year of a four-year funding plan); and $750,000 is new one-time spending to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer historical archives preservation.
