California citizens who wish to vote would be required to register in the presence of a county election official at least 60 days before an election. Voters who do not vote in two consecutive statewide elections would have their registration cancelled. The initiative would further require voters to present photo identification at the polls before they vote.
December 13
This measure adds a new section to the State Constitution that defines the existing right to defend life and liberty to include the right of each person to keep and bear arms for the defense of self, family, and home. The measure states that this right shall not be infringed.
December 11
This measure would amend the State Constitution to change the way boundaries of districts for the state Legislature (Assembly and Senate), Board of Equalization (BOE), and the U.S. House of Representatives from California are determined.
December 20
This measure amends the State Constitution to legalize, for adults 18 years of age or older, all forms of gaming, including Las Vegas type casino gaming and internet gaming, unless specifically prohibited or prohibited by federal law.
December 10
The measure sets up a new Traffic Congestion Relief and Safe School Bus Trust Fund (TCRSSBTF) and transfers into the new fund $220 million from the General Fund each quarter.
