The 2026-27 Budget: Child Care and State Preschool

Mar 19, 2026 - The 2025 ‑26 budget package provided a total of $10.3  billion for subsidized child care and State Preschool ($7.8  billion from the General Fund). Of  the total, the state provided $7.5  billion in funding for child care programs.
