The 2017-18 Budget: Department of State Hospitals (DSH)

Feb 22, 2017 - In order to provide a more secure housing environment for patients who have high rates of violence, Chapter  718 of 2014 (AB 1340, Achadjian) authorized DSH to pilot ETP units. Under the pilot program, the department is renovating existing beds and providing additional staff to provide more intensive and secure treatment.
