The 2022-23 Budget: State Payments on the Federal Unemployment Insurance Loan

Feb 15, 2022 - Under our low ‑cost scenario, the state and employers pay off the federal loan in 2030. Under our high ‑cost scenario, the payoff occurs in 2032. Neither of these scenarios capture the possibility of another recession sometime this decade.
