Mar 21, 2024 - Deferral of June 2025 Payroll Background State Deferred June Payroll in 2009 ‑10. The state pays its employees monthly. In response to a severe budget deficit problem, the 2009 ‑10 budget package included an ongoing one-month deferral of state payroll from late June to early July, providing one-time savings for the state by only paying 11 months of payroll in the 2009 ‑10 fiscal year.

Recent Changes to State and County IHSS Wage and Benefit Costs

Dec 14, 2018 - Under the 10  percent option, the state ’s and counties ’ share of cost are based on the historical cost-sharing ratios for nonfederal IHSS service costs (65  percent and 35  percent, respectively). Counties can increase wages and benefits by 10  percent all at once or over a three-year period.
