The 2025-26 Budget: Scholarshare Investment Board

May 15, 2017 - If the entire $1 billion in settle ‑up were used in 2016 ‑17, we estimate the 2017 ‑18 the minimum guarantee would be about $500 million lower than the May Revision Proposition 98 funding level. The state also could consider using settle ‑up payments to free up any lesser amount of funding for the rest of the budget, thereby keeping total Proposition 98 funding closer to the May Revision level.

What Is the Adult Education Block Grant?

Jan 6, 2016 - The 2015-16 Budget Act provided $500 million in ongoing Proposition 98 funding to regional consortia in two parts: (1) maintenance of effort (MOE) funding and (2) need-based funding. Under the MOE part, up to $375 million was earmarked for school districts and COEs that operated adult education programs in 2012-13 and subsequently became members of regional consortia.
