Feb 19, 2025 - These funds would be allocated to school districts based on their share of statewide enrollment in grades 7 to 12. The budget package also required school districts to certify by July 2029 that a certain portion of their staff who work directly with students in grades 7 to 12 have received youth behavioral health training at least once.

Feb 19, 2019 - An inmate ’s score on the test indicates the grade level at which they are able to read and is used to help prioritize inmates for placement in education programs. The department has a statutory responsibility to focus on improving the reading ability of inmates to at least a 9th grade level.

Assessing Community College Programs at State Prisons

Jul 1, 2024 - Data requested by our office and provided by the Chancellor ’s Office, however, indicate incarcerated CDCR students in CCC programs have course success rates (earning a passing grade or course credit) similar to those of other CCC students (72  percent on  average).
