Jan 17, 2017 - The National Vietnam Veterans Readjustment Study estimates the lifetime prevalence of PTSD of Vietnam –era veterans to be 31  percent for men and 27  percent for women. These estimated rates of PTSD among veterans are substantially higher than the estimate of the lifetime prevalence of PTSD among the total national population, which is roughly 7  percent.
