Jun 25, 2021 - This analysis reviews 20 labor agreements received by the Legislature between June 9 and June 15, 2021. The analysis summarizes and provides comments on the agreements. In addition, the analysis provides overarching comments across the 20 agreements and offers recommendations to the Legislature.

MOU Fiscal Analysis: Bargaining Unit 8 (Firefighters)

Aug 14, 2024 - The reduction of the duty week to 66 hours reduces the number of hours firefighters are paid for scheduled overtime (EDWC) by 6 hours. At the same time that the 66-hour duty week would be established under the proposed agreement (the first day of the pay period following ratification or November 1, 2024, whichever is later), the proposed agreement also would provide an SSA to employees by the equivalent of 6 hours of EDWC.

Aug 23, 2024 - As we discussed in the 2007-08 Budget: Perspectives and Issues , the 2001 MOU for Unit 6 briefly tied Unit 6 salaries to Unit 5 salaries between 2001 and 2006—this parity can be seen in the figure as Unit 6 average base pay growth very closely followed growth in Unit 5 average base pay during that period.

MOU Fiscal Analysis: Bargaining Unit 10 (Professional Scientific)

Aug 14, 2024 - Specifically, the hourly differentials would increase (1)  from 40 cents to $1.50 per hour for employees who work four or more hours of their regularly scheduled work between 6:00 pm and 12:00 am (midnight) and (2)  from 50 cents to $1.50 per hour for employees who work four or more hours of their regularly scheduled work between 12:00 am (midnight) and 6:00 am.
