Feb 26, 2026 - UC reserves also were impacted by the infusion of federal stimulus funding and one ‑time state funding provided in 2021 ‑22 and 2022 ‑23, with levels growing somewhat over those years. In 2023 ‑24 (the most recent year for which UC has reported data), UC reserves declined from 17  percent to 15  percent of annual core fund expenditures —equating to just under two months of reserves.

Mar 5, 2026 - In  2014 ‑15, districts ’ employer contribution rate was 8.9  percent of payroll for CalSTRS and 11.8  percent of payroll for CalPERS. In 2025 ‑26, those rates are up to 19.1  percent of payroll for CalSTRS and 26.8  percent of payroll for CalPERS.

Mar 25, 2026 - In 2024-25, Learning Lab used about 15  percent of its state General Fund support to cover associated Foundation costs. In addition, Learning Lab has one program director employed by LCI. About 10  percent of program funding is used by LCI for related program administration including for various operating expenses, such as special projects and travel.
