The 2022-23 Budget: Expanded Learning Programs

Feb 16, 2022 - In addition to the funding specified in Figure  1, ASES and the 21st Century program received a combined $301  million in one ‑time federal relief funding for temporary rate increases and slots. The federal funds will temporarily increase ASES per student daily rates from $8.88 to $10.18 in 2021 ‑22 and 2022 ‑23 and 21st Century program rates from $7.50 to $10.18 in 2021 ‑22.

Promoting Equity in the Parole Hearing Process

Jan 5, 2023 - Of the 8,722 hearings that were scheduled to occur in 2021, candidates waived their hearing in 1,758  (20  percent) cases and stipulated to unsuitability in 301 (3  percent) cases. We note that hearings may not occur or be completed as originally scheduled for other reasons, such as a candidate being sick on the day of the hearing.
