The 2024-25 Budget: California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation

Feb 22, 2024 - This methodology found that if the prison system was occupied at 120  percent of its design capacity, there would be enough budgeted assignments to serve 74  percent of its population. In contrast, if the system was at 100  percent of its design capacity, there would be enough budgeted assignments to serve 91  percent of its population.
