The 2025-26 Budget: Expanded Learning Opportunities Program

Feb 20, 2025 - To compare funding rates for the two programs, w e converted the ASES daily rates into an annual rate consistent with ELOP requirements. Using 2023 ‑24 attendance and rates, the ASES daily rate would be equivalent to $2,900 per participating ELOP student per year.

Feb 25, 2025 - Had the salary for Fellows not risen to the minimum level for salaried employees, Fellows would have become eligible for overtime, w hich is not the intent of the program.) Despite that federal requirement being rescinded, the Center indicates a salary increase is still warranted to help Fellows afford rising living costs as well as keep the fellowship program competitive with comparable programs in the state and country.
