The 2025-26 Budget: Department of Financial Protection and Innovation

Apr 3, 2025 - Chapter  781 of 2023 (SB  401, Lim ón) requires DFPI to regulate digital financial asset transaction kiosks. DFPI is expected to begin licensing under this program on July 1, 2026. Majority of Funding for DFPI Comes from Financial Protection Fund.
