Impact of COVID-19 on Health Care Access

May 7, 2021 - In addition, during the same time period, approximately 30  percent of survey respondents reported that they needed medical care for conditions other than COVID-19 but did not receive it (red line). While comparable data from survey respondents on delaying or not receiving medical care prior to the COVID-19 pandemic is not available, this survey data suggests that the pandemic has discouraged a significant number of Californians from utilizing health care services.
